Additional TailSpin (FBI Thriller, No. 12) Information

From the #1 bestselling author, a stunning new novel of secrets, mayhem, and murder.

FBI Special Agent Jackson Crowne is flying his Cessna over the Appalachians, with a very important passenger: renowned psychiatrist Dr. Timothy MacLean; their destination is Washington, D.C. Upon their arrival, the FBI will protect the doctor—and ascertain just who wants him dead.

But they don’t make it.

In San Francisco, married FBI Special Agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock take an early morning phone call from their supervisor, Jimmy Maitland. Maitland received a Mayday from Jackson in the mountains near Parlow, Kentucky, and sends Savich and Sherlock to see what’s happened.

Agent Crowne is able to bring his plane down in a narrow valley and haul the unconscious Dr. MacLean from the burning wreckage before it explodes. Their crash is witnessed by Rachael Abbott, a young woman on the run after the mysterious death of her father. When Savich and Sherlock arrive on the scene, they find Jackson and Rachael in the Parlow clinic and Dr. MacLean comatose in the local hospital, prognosis unknown. What they do know frightens them: Dr. MacLean was recently diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia, and in the months prior to the crash his behavior had become erratic and alarmingly uninhibited, his ability to maintain doctor-patient confidentiality badly compromised. With a patient list made up of Washington movers and shakers, MacLean’s role as a keeper of secrets is jeopardized as well. Is there someone out there so desperate that they’d kill the doctor for what he knows? It is up to Jackson, Savich, and Sherlock to find out—no matter the cost.

What Customers Say About TailSpin (FBI Thriller, No. 12):

The characters are flat with no real chemistry or depth, the story is laughable and even Sherlock and Savich are getting old and tired. I honestly don't know why Catherine Coulter still writes. Will not be reading anymore of her books. She really needs to grow as a writer and move on to other subjects. All of her books have the same characters, the same dialogue and the same ending. To be brutally honest, the last couple of her books have sucked.

The way the FBI agents confronted the rich and powerful was beyond unreal. Law enforcement folks are trained to shoot for center mass.

So, why were so many (I think, all) the people shot by the FBI (and even by Rachael, who can be excused) shot in the arm or shoulder, on purpose. Anything else would be hazardous to them and to the public they are supposed to consider protecting.

I gave it 3 stars because I enjoyed some of the dialog. "Fanning" a Kimber.45.

Coulter needs a tech consultant for those issues. Also, I like to see strong women featured. The story line seemed to jump/jerk and then ramble.

They would have been lucky to get work as rent-a-cops after that.Coulter has no idea what a firearm looks like or how it is used by law enforcement.

Another super and terrific thriller by Catherine.I have enjoyed every one of her FBI series and this is one of the best.

Go figure. My husband listened to it at work (CDL Driver) and he really liked it. I had a hard time keeping track of all the players. I just finished the book, and I am still lost.

I simply love Savage and Sherlock. The book, Tail Spin, kept me on the edge of my seat. That is why I love your books. Catherine Coulter you did a great job again. I could not put it down. It is such an exciting book that you feel like you are there with all the characters.
